The National Elections Commission officially declares campaign open for Lofa county Senatorial by-election
The National Elections commission has officially declared campaign open for the Lofa County by-election slated for Tuesday, June 28.
The declaration followed a joint resolution adopted by the senate and House of Representatives of the Liberian legislature, and signed by President George Weah.
President Weah in a letter submitted to the NEC Chairperson, Madam David-Etta Brown Lansanah, said his approval of the joint resolution is in accordance with Article 35 of the 1986 constitution of Liberia.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by the NEC late Monday evening states that political campaign starts on Monday June 20 and ends on Sunday, June 26, at 12 midnight.
