The Premier League fixtures have been confirmed for the 2022-23 season, with all 20 clubs learning their fate – until the inevitable switches for TV, at least.

The upcoming campaign will be unique given that the season will pause on November 13 ahead of a winter World Cup before resuming on Boxing Day, meaning managers – and the unlucky players not heading to Qatar – will have a mid-season break to reflect. While the World Cup will close another busy calendar year, the competition will put added pressure on an already bulging fixture list – and squads will be pushed to the limit to make their seasons a success.

Manchester City are out to defend their hard-fought Premier League title with Erling Haaland leading the line, while Liverpool have added Darwin Nunez to try and close that tight gap to the champions this time around. Chelsea and Tottenham will have to juggle their Champions League ambitions with another top-four push – and possibly more if they hit the ground running – and Arsenal will be looking to use their disappointment of missing out as fuel for a young squad.

All eyes will be on Manchester United as Erik ten Hag kicks off a new era, though it remains to be seen whether the Dutch coach can provide an instant fix or whether his squad requires “open-heart surgery” as Ralf Rangnick suggested. At the other end of the table, Leeds escaped relegation on the final day of the season, while Bournemouth, Fulham and Nottingham Forest will be out to avoid an instant return to the Championship.

As for the Golden Boot race, Son Heung-min and Mohamed Salah finished joint top of the charts last season with 23 goals apiece. Man City and Liverpool’s new boys Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez will be ones to watch this time around, along with Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

So as clubs digest their fixture calendars, we want to know your key predictions for the season:

  • Title winners
  • Top four
  • Relegation
