SS Rajamouli’s RRR (Hindi) continued with its dream run on the second day as the film went up by approximately 30 to 35 percent on Saturday. The early estimates suggest a second day figure in the vicinity of Rs. 24 to 26 crores, which might be slightly higher too depending on how well have the mass belts fared.
The film has got the audience on board across the country – be it national chains or the single screens, be it the cities or small towns. The business will just go up further from hereon on Sunday and there is a high possibility for this Jr. NTR and Ram Charan film to take an opening weekend of Rs. 75 crore. The figures are simply fantastic for a film featuring two relatively fresh faces, that too on a complete non holiday weekend.
The SS Rajamouli factor backed up with visually rich trailers sparked excitement among the audience, and with a positive talk, the business is on the rise with every passing show. The costs are on the higher side, but RRR has enough capacity and free run at the box office to emerge a profitable venture for stakeholders in Hindi belts. A business of Rs. 180 crore plus will mean a successful benchmark for the Hindi belt distributors.
The audience talk is positive across the board and hence, we anticipate the film to hold steady even on the weekdays to put up a healthy week one total. That’s not all, it’s a free market for RRR until the release of KGF 2, which means it will consistently get those weekend spikes in the coming two weeks too. All in all, the scenario looks positive for RRR (Hindi) at the moment and with a two day total of Rs. 44 crore plus, it seems that SS Rajamouli and team have delivered another winner.
